Identifying International Opportunities Within Your Business
Providing sound benefits advice and the best quality products and services to employers is crucial for your business. However, we have often found that your clients’ international healthcare needs are not apparent. Many organizations believe their domestic health insurance plan protects employees traveling or working abroad like it does inside the U.S. That is not the case. Asking the right questions can help you uncover your client’s international healthcare needs and provide the Blue Cross Blue Shield Global® product that’s the best answer. |

Growing Attention on Employee Well-Being |
|
|
Mental well-being is a hot topic among many employers today. Ensuring employees have the resources they need should mental health concerns arise is becoming a vital aspect of healthcare coverage. This can be even more crucial for your employers who have an expat population to consider. Expatriate assignments are filled with both career advancement opportunities and many cultural experiences. It’s an exciting time to discover a new part of the world while fulfilling professional goals. However, these assignments can also be difficult on individuals and their families, resulting in some stressful situations and lonely times. |

A recent article in Psychology Today lays out the issues expatriates face and what employers can do to address them. |

Employers need to be sure that the health coverage they provide for their international employees addresses these concerns and includes a strong Employee Assistance Program (EAP), with services such as online counseling sessions and telemedicine options.
GeoBlue has a robust wellness offering included in all our healthcare solutions. Learn more about how we support our members with a portfolio of emotional, physical, practical and clinical support services.
Member Tools: Benefit Accumulators |
|
This summer, we updated our benefit history review on the Member Hub so that members have an easier time accessing their past payments and benefits accumulation. Members can now see how much they have paid toward their deductible and out-of-pocket/coinsurance limits. We are encouraging employers to direct their members to visit the Member Hub and look under the “My Benefit Usage” tab for this new feature. |
